Today is your lucky day! We’ll create a visually appealing checklist in Word, then convert it to a PDF that you can hand out to visitors in exchange for their email address.

A PDF file can be opened by anyone, regardless of whether they have the programme you used to create it (such as Word). It’s THE BEST way to give a checklist, ebook, or other such material.

Make a Checklist in Word

You can create a PDF if you can create a document in Microsoft Word. We’ll create a simple checklist with a few fancy flourishes, then convert it to a PDF so it’s ready to send to your new subscribers.

1 – Add a title

Begin by typing the title of your checklist in a new Word document. Choose a font that has personality while remaining readable. The text should be centred.

Let’s add a backdrop colour to the headline to make it stand out. An icon with a paint bucket may be found in the Home tab. That’s the hue of the shading. Choose a shading colour for the text and highlight it. It will give the entire line a backdrop colour.

2 – Add the checklist items

After that, we’ll start styling the text by typing out each item on your checklist.

Here, you should use a simple typeface. You can use a beautiful font in the title, but the body of your checklist should be straightforward and clear. Calibri is Word’s default typeface, and you can use it if you like. PDF CHECKLIST

The colour of your text is the same way. Use black or a very dark grey as your primary colour. There are plenty of opportunities to inject personality, but the goal of a checklist is the easy-to-follow things that make it up.

Make your list bulleted or numbered so you can quickly scan it.

3 – Style your checklist

Let’s get to the good stuff! This is when your Word checklist-making skills will come in helpful. Don’t worry if you don’t have one. Simply continue to follow the instructions.

Title your sections. PDF CHECKLIST

Add a section title to each portion of your checklist if it naturally falls into distinct sections or tasks. Here are some suggestions for making your section title more visually appealing:

Increase the size of the typeface

1.Use bold

2.Use bold text.

3.Use the same text as your title.

4.Change the text colour.

You can utilise any or all of these ideas, as long as you don’t overdo the style to the point where you can’t read the text!

4 – Add a footer

Do you provide your blog’s name with each opt-in you provide? You really should! Remind your reader where they learned about this fantastic piece of information.

In the footer, we’ll put your blog’s name. To access the footer area, double-click the bottom of the page.

5 – Save as a PDF

Make sure you’ve saved your checklist as a Word document before saving it as a PDF. You want the flexibility to modify things afterwards!

Go to the File tab and select Save As to save your Word document as a PDF.

Choose PDF as the Save As Type option. Check the box next to Optimize that says Standard. Make a backup of your file.

6 –  How to create a checklist in Word

Begin by selecting ‘file’ from the menu bar, then ‘options’ from the drop-down menu, which will create a new window labelled ‘word options.’ After you’ve done that, look for the tab labelled “customise ribbon.”

Then, on the right, there should be a drop-down menu with the option to “customise the ribbon” selected. After that, there will be a checkbox labelled and indicating the ‘developer,’ and you must locate the add button.

To add another option, use the add button next to the ‘controls’ check box. Along with this, select the ‘developer’ check box. Continue by selecting ‘check box content control’ and then clicking on the ‘OK’ button.

7 – Word Check Box Guide for Versions in 2007 and those before

When inserting a Word Check Box in older versions of Microsoft Word, the procedure is slightly different. It starts the same way: write down the list you want to place in checkboxes; highlight the list by dragging the mouse (while holding down the left button) over the full list. When the first difference appears in the Check box procedure, you must click your cursor over the highlighted text to the right, however in subsequent versions, you must utilise the top menu.

When you right-click on the text you want, a menu will appear. Select the ‘Bullets and Numberings’ category from the drop-down menu.

After you’ve selected the ‘Bullets and Numberings’ category, you’ll be able to select a ‘Bullet Style.’ You must pick ‘Customise’ when choosing a style.

After selecting ‘customise,’ select ‘character,’ which will show you with a variety of typefaces. You must select ‘wingdings’ for a Word Check Box from the options provided. Finally, select ‘OK,’ and the word will offer you checkboxes in front of each item on your list. PDF CHECKLIST
