Dry Skin -In the Brand Focus Series, I’m back with another popular brand. It’s all about Nivea these days. Nivea is a well-known German cosmetics brand whose products have gained popularity in a number of other countries. Nivea was first introduced to India in 2006, and it has since grown in popularity. The majority of you have undoubtedly tried at least one Nivea product, most likely the Blue Tin. Nivea products are widely available both online and in stores, and they are frequently discounted. I’ve tried quite a few Nivea products. In this post, I’ve just included those that I’ve been able to gather throughout the last two to three years of use. So, before I get into the product reviews, let me first respond to the most frequently asked question.
The Ultimate Guide to the 10 Best Camera Phones Under 20000 in India (December 2021)
Is Nivea Free Of Cruelty?
No. Nivea’s parent business, Beiersdorf, does not test on animals. Nivea, on the other hand, is offered in China, where animal testing is required by law. As a result, Nivea pays third parties to test their products on animals marketed in China, putting them on the list of brands that are not cruelty-free.

1. Nivea Total Face Cleanser0
Product Type: It’s a whole face clean-up product that claims to unclog pores, eliminate blackheads, decrease spots, refine skin, and deep cleanse the skin in just 5 minutes.
All skin types, with the exception of sensitive and acne-prone skin, are suitable.
Nivea’s signature scent is both pleasant and comforting.
My own opinion is that this is a good product. It’s a five-in-one cleanser, scrub, mask, blackhead removal, and oil remover. Despite the fact that this product claims to be for everyday use, I only use it once or twice a week because it contains scrubbing particles. Even if the particles are gentle, I prefer not to over-exfoliate my skin. The cream-based lotion is thick and distributes effectively on damp skin. Scrub gently, then keep it on for 2-3 minutes as a mask before washing it off. It’s the other way around for me. I use it as a mask and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before gently scrubbing it off while rinsing. The product contains Kaolin Clay, which is the gentlest of all clays, and as a result, it does not dry out the skin after use. My skin feels incredibly soft, plumped, and nourished after using it. It gives the skin a pleasant glow, but there is no significant lightening impact. The product is ineffective at removing persistent blackheads. Overall, I enjoyed using it because it left me with baby soft skin and light exfoliation.
2. Nivea Smooth Skin Whitening Roll-On Deodorant
It claims to provide you even-toned underarms as well as 48-hour odour prevention when infused with Mulethi Extracts.
Both men and women can wear it. All skin types, with the exception of those with sensitive skin.
Additional Information: Alcohol-Free Formula.
My Experience: So far, I’ve tried two different Nivea Roll On Deos. In terms of formula and performance, I didn’t see much of a difference. Both of them reminded me of myself. The Whitening Smooth Skin variation is the one I’m referring to. I didn’t like the Nivea Deos as much as I liked my Sure Deo, primarily because the Nivea Deo does not dry off as quickly as my Sure Deo. The moisture must be allowed to diminish for at least 5-10 minutes. Because this is an antiperspirant, it effectively suppresses sweating and body odour for practically a whole day. The aroma is pleasant and pleasant, with a hint of Nivea’s signature scent. It hasn’t given me any negative reactions or irritations in the past. The idea that this variation will whiten your teeth is false. My underarms did not whiten or darken as a result of using it. The Deo accomplishes its goal of masking foul body odour, but I prefer the Sure Deo due to its slower drying recipe. It was possible that the formula may have been improved!!
3. Nivea Crème Blue Tin
Product Type: It’s a multi-purpose protective skincare lotion that the entire family can use.
Both men and women can wear it. It’s best for people with dry skin.
Nivea’s signature scent is used.
Additional Information: The quality of Nivea Crème appears to vary depending on where it is purchased. The original is supposed to have originated in Germany.
My Personal Experience: There isn’t a single person who isn’t aware of the beauty. Nivea is synonymous with this Blue Tin, as everyone knows. This is one of the cult favourites that everyone raves about, and I agree that it is one of my faves as well. It’s a thick, nourishing lotion that treats all types of dry skin. It can be used on the face and body, as well as on the hands and feet. It’s also fantastic for elbows and knees, which are usually dry at all times. The cream is thick and only a small amount is needed to hydrate a broad region of skin. It makes skin soft and healthy-looking right away. It, of course, has the Nivea scent, which is pleasant. For dry skin and colder temperatures, this lotion is a must-have. However, it is not recommended for oily skin types because the heavy recipe will make your skin greasy and may possibly cause breakouts. This is a fantastic body cream that everyone should try!
4. Nivea Light Moisturizer Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer
It claims to be a quick-absorbing, mild moisturiser that will keep your skin looking fresh all day.
Skin Types: Combination, Normal, and Dry
Fragrance: Similar to Nivea crème, but softer and with flowery overtones.
My Experience: This is a lighter version of the Blue Tin, with less greasiness and easier spreadability and blendability. The Soft Cream is an oil in water emulsion, whereas the Nivea Cream is a water in oil emulsion. On the brand’s official website, you may learn more about this. Although the Nivea Soft cream has a Gel Crème texture, it feels luxurious on the skin. It absorbs significantly faster than the Nivea Blue Tin Creme. The silky cream, which is packed with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, is a good moisturiser that leaves skin hydrated and supple. This is suitable for both regular and dry facial skin. It’s generally used as a body lotion for me. Overall, I enjoy both creams equally well; simply choose one based on your skin’s needs.
5. Cherry Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm
It’s a tinted lip balm that leaves lips feeling soft and silky.
Suitable For: Everyone
Polyisobutene, Octyldodecanol, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Candelilla Cera, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Cera Microcristallina, Isopropyl Palmitate, Synthetic Wax, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Glycerin, Glycerin, Glycerin, Glycerin, Aqua, Mica, Propylene Glycol, BHT, Fragaria Ananassa Fruit Juice, Ci 15985, Ci 77891, Ci 15850, Fragaria Ananassa Fruit Juice, Fragaria Ananassa Fruit Juice, Fragaria Ananassa Fruit Juice, Fragaria Ananassa Fruit
It has a sweet candy fragrance to it.
My Opinion: I really like how this makes my lips look. This is a lighter, less waxy lip balm than the Original Lip Balm. Fruit shine lip balm is coloured with fine gleaming particles that aren’t too gunky or shiny. It gives my lips a beautiful gloss without being too shiny. Cherry is a summery purple-pink tint that looks lovely and natural on the lips. The smoothness is such that it flows effortlessly without any tugging. It leaves an immediate layer of moisture, but I find that I need to reapply after 3 hours. My cracked and dry lips were not healed by this lip balm. However, for quick outings during the day, I appreciated using this lip balm. It’s also appropriate for students and office workers.
6. Nivea Aloe Hydration Body Lotion
It’s a light, nourishing body lotion enriched with Aloe Vera that leaves your skin feeling soft and pleasant.
Suitable For: All Skin Types, with the exception of extremely dry skin.
The fragrance has a blend of floral and fruity tones and is quite pleasant.
My first Nivea body lotion was the one in the dark blue bottle (Nivea Nourishing Body Milk), which was designed for really dry skin. Years ago, I used it and recall it not being very moisturising for my extremely dry face. This Aloe Hydration Body Lotion is something I recently purchased. It’s ideal for summer because it’s light and non-greasy. Within seconds of application, it absorbs into the skin, leaving it silky and smooth. It moisturises skin for a long time, especially when applied right after a shower when skin is still damp, but not for the 48 hours advertised. Because of its non-oily, moisturising nature, this is still a fantastic body lotion to try.
